Review Of The Landmark Hotel In London

by Michael Motono

We slept at the Landmark Hotel London for a special event. We had reserved a Deluxe room but have been upgraded at check in to an Executive room looking over the Winter Garden atrium. Registering has been everything you expect from a 5 stars hotel. Skilled, managed as well as well-mannered with the member of staff coping with you only and no other potential distractions. Our room demands had been attained without being prompted, even for the upgraded room and we were shown to the lifts by the front desk staff. It absolutely was a decent start.

The room was fabulous - big, with taste equipped (in a Four Seasons fashion) with a few good details as an umbrella in the vestibule area and digital weighing scales!. Like the room, the bathroom was big with distinct dressing/sinks areas, bath and big walk-in shower and independent toilet. Water pressure was perfect. The only real problems have been the very outdated CRT tv and the lacking room safe that left a hole over the minibar.

The space was really calm and the windows presented great sound proofing although there is little activity within the atrium later on after sunset.

There was breakfast in the atrium's Winter Garden included in our room fee. The meal was exceptional. Likely the very best Complete English breakfast I've had nevertheless it does come at a price. Still it's all offered on Royal Doulton and you're simply within the uncommon setting of relaxing underneath a glass ceiling in the middle of palm trees in central London. Service was useful although there was a bit of a wait for the baked part to arrive. A pleasant touch has been the provision of full-size cafetieres and teapots for each individual.

It's really worth taking a quick walk round the hotel to understand the building history among the unique railway terminus hotels full of stained glass windows and chandeliers.

Employees at reception really are a credit to the hotel and I would certainly happily stop at The Landmark once again.
