For a long time, fat was largely excluded from a body builder's diet. Much to the contrary, modern science is now telling us that fat is a necessary part of our diet. Our daily diet should include a certain amount dietary fats. The modern world of bodybuilding now finds itself coming to terms with a new set of dietary standards. How the findings apply to you is really a function of where you are in your fitness program and what your long term goals are.

It is common knowledge that foods high in saturated fats should be avoided. Saturated fats are derived of animal fats. These fats will turn solid at room temperatures.
